1. Overview

The Disturbance Reporting function is used to record machine stoppages and production disturbances during manufacturing operations.

The system allows operators to:

  • Register production interruptions
  • Select the cause of the disturbance
  • Track machine downtime automatically
  • Store all disturbance events in the history table

Important: before a disturbance can be started, the current production operation must first be stopped and production quantities must be reported.

2. Stopping Production Before Disturbance Reporting

Before creating a disturbance report, the operator must:

  1. Stop the active production operation
  2. Report the completed quantity
  3. Save the production feedback

Only after production has been stopped can the disturbance process be started.

This ensures:

  • Accurate production reporting
  • Correct production time calculation
  • Precise downtime tracking

3. Starting a Disturbance

To start a disturbance, click the red Disturbance Report button.

After clicking the button, the disturbance reporting screen becomes available.

4. Disturbance Reporting Screen

The screen contains the following fields:

Resource

Displays the selected machine or resource currently affected by the disturbance.

Example:

  • 3D – K2 Pro Combo
Cause of Disturbance

The operator must select the reason for the machine stoppage from the dropdown list.

Cause selection

Example causes:

  • Machine Failure
  • Material Shortage
Short Text Description of the Disturbance

Optional text field where the operator can enter additional information about the problem or stoppage.

5. Starting the Disturbance Timer

After selecting the disturbance cause, the operator must click the Start button.

The system then:

  • Starts the disturbance process
  • Automatically records the start time
  • Calculates the total downtime in the background

The machine remains in disturbance status until it is released again.

6. Ending the Disturbance

The disturbance can only be stopped by a user with administrator privileges.

To release the machine:

  1. An administrator opens the disturbance screen
  2. Clicks the Stop button
  3. The system records the end of the disturbance

This ensures controlled restart authorization and prevents unauthorized machine releases.

7. Automatic Downtime Calculation

While the disturbance is active, the system continuously calculates:

  • Start time of disturbance
  • End time of disturbance
  • Total downtime duration

The downtime calculation is fully automatic.


8. Disturbance History Table

All disturbances are stored in the table at the bottom of the screen.

The table records:

  • Resource ID
  • Resource Name
  • Cause of Disturbance
  • Start of Disturbance
  • End of Disturbance
  • Days Spent in Disturbance

This provides full traceability for:

  • Machine downtime
  • Production interruptions
  • Maintenance analysis
  • OEE calculations

9. Important Notes

  • Production must always be stopped before starting a disturbance.
  • Disturbance timers start only after the Start button is pressed.
  • Only administrators can stop and release a disturbance.
  • Every disturbance event is automatically logged in the history table.
  • Disturbance reporting supports accurate production tracking and downtime analysis.
