1. Overview

The OEE Dashboard provides a visual overview of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) values within the production environment.

OEE is a key manufacturing KPI used to measure how effectively production resources are utilized.

The dashboard helps production managers and planners:

  • Monitor manufacturing efficiency
  • Identify production losses
  • Analyze machine performance
  • Measure production quality
  • Improve operational effectiveness

The OEE dashboard displays the three main OEE components:

  • Availability
  • Performance
  • Quality

and the calculated overall OEE value.

2. Period Selection

The Period filter defines the time interval used for OEE calculations.

The period can be freely selected by the user.

Available predefined options may include:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • Last 7 days
  • Last 30 days
  • Custom date

The system calculates OEE values based on production data recorded within the selected period.

3. OEE Components

Overall OEE

The first gauge displays the calculated Overall Equipment Effectiveness percentage.

OEE combines:

  • Availability
  • Performance
  • Quality

into a single production efficiency indicator.

The general formula is:

OEE = Availability × Performance × Quality

The OEE value represents how efficiently the manufacturing process operates compared to its theoretical maximum capacity.

Availability

Availability measures how much planned production time was actually available for production.

Availability is affected by:

  • Machine breakdowns
  • Disturbances
  • Setup times
  • Unplanned downtime

Low Availability indicates excessive downtime or machine stoppages.

Performance

Performance measures how efficiently the machine operated compared to the planned production speed.

Performance is affected by:

  • Slow cycles
  • Reduced machine speed
  • Minor stoppages
  • Inefficient operation

Low Performance indicates that production is running slower than expected.

Quality

Quality measures the ratio of good produced parts compared to total produced quantity.

Quality is affected by:

  • Scrap quantity
  • Defective products
  • Rework
  • Production errors

High Quality values indicate stable and accurate production.

4. Gauge Visualization

Each KPI is displayed using a circular gauge chart.

The gauges provide quick visual interpretation of:

  • Current efficiency level
  • Production health
  • Operational performance

The displayed percentage value represents the calculated KPI for the selected period.

6. OEE Data Source

The OEE dashboard uses data collected from:

  • Production feedback reporting
  • Disturbance reporting
  • Machine operation times
  • Scrap reporting
  • Production quantities
  • Scheduled production times

The dashboard updates automatically based on recorded production data.
